Soprano•Teacher•Author

Kate is a classically trained soprano and is a current member of the full-time Metropolitan Opera Chorus. She is also a published author.

Kate is available for private study, masterclasses, workshops, Q&A’s, and solo performances.

 

Soprano

Kate completed both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in vocal performances from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. After a successful 10-year solo career, she accepted a full-time position with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus.

Teacher

Kate has a keen interest in helping singers of all ages find their true voices through her fun, energetic, honest, and humorous approach to vocal technique. She has a passion for communicating with young singers in the group, or class setting.

Author

M is for Mama… and also Merlot is a children’s book co-authored by Kate and Laura Benanti with illustrations by Helene Weston. The book provides laughter, joy, reassurance, confidence, and perhaps even a moment of relaxation for new and expectant moms.
